Disclaimer: Yes, the name of this blog is a pun of my last name, Edwards...I just thoroughly enjoy dad humor.

I have been outspoken, opinionated, and an independent thinker for as long as I have been alive, and I am sure my family would be more than happy to validate me on this. Through God’s amazing grace and refining, these traits are becoming the very things He wants to use in me. The Lord made me a warrior, but as I mature, He is also teaching me how to be humble and forgiving, instead of brash and bold. With His grace, I am learning to stand firm in faith and love. I believe one of my most important purposes on Earth is to speak about topics that others may be timid about approaching. This is the beginning of that purpose.

From a young age, I began journaling off and on as a way to organize my thoughts and give them a physical place to live. Within the past year, so much has changed, and it is difficult for me to even pinpoint a place to start. My life was flipped upside down when I truly met God and I have been trying to fully comprehend who He is since then.

This will not be your typical "come to Jesus blog," but rather it will be a place where nothing is off the table. Jesus has a seat for all of us at the table. No one, no circumstance, and no struggle is too messy. I write this in hopes that people would find comfort in knowing, at some point, we all have a wilderness season. We all have sloppy, chaotic aspects of ourselves or our lives. But there is always hope. The Holy Spirit is our counselor and greatest advocate for healing and restoration. The Comforter knows how to help us, but we have to be willing to accept the help and allow it in every crevice of our lives. It's not about me, but it's about His work through me.

Through my own trials and lessons, learned the very hard way, I hope to comfort you in your walk...wherever you are, whoever you are, and whatever it looks like. I will now tell you what I wish someone had told me long ago: Jesus is wild about you. He’s madly in love with you. He knows every detail about you and He wants to be  closer to you than your very breath. Please, please, please let Him.

Romans 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."

Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Collossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
